RoHS is an abbreviation for restrictions on the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. This is a mandatory environmental protection laws and regulations adopted by the European Union to prevent the environmental pollution caused by the extensive use of electronic products. It is stipulated that from July 1, 2006, the new electrical and electronic equipment in the EU market should not contain the following six Hazardous substances: lead, tribute, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
The maximum amount of these substances in the homogeneous material is below: Lead (Pb)1000mg/kg; ② tribute (Hg) 1000mg / kg; ③ cadmium (Cd) 100mg / kg; ④ hexavalent chromium (Cr6 +) 1000mg / kg ; ⑤ polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) 1000mg / kg; ⑥ PBDE (PBDE) 1000mg / kg. In this way, both the manufacturer and the purchaser must understand whether the electronic products produced or purchased are RoHS compliant or not.
